The colour of this grape and guava slushy may be new for children to explore – it’s pink but not intense.  The temperature is possibly new to explore too, somewhere in between juice and icecream.  It makes a lovely “let’s explore and be curious” drink to offer alongside a family meal.

In 100g of guava there is 228.3mg of Vitamin C which is about 4 times the amount found in Oranges!  

Guava & Grape Slushy

Prep time



A fruity hit of vitamin C that is fun to explore at a mealtime.


  • 1 cup of frozen green or red seedless grapes

  • 6 tinned guava halves, seeds removed

  • 1/2 cup of water

  • 1 sprig of mint, another for garnish (optional)


  • Put all ingredients into a high powered blender
  • Blend for at least 1 minute until smooth. Add additional water if it is too icy and you want a more liquid consistency.
  • Pour into cups and garnish with extra mint
