We were inspired from our play in Smurf Village at a nearby shopping centre AND the #getcreativewith challenge this week to make you a FREE printable game including a recipe for “smurfy berry juice”.
This sheet is yours to colour-in and find your way to the smurfy berry juice recipe. Once you get to the recipe, you can adapt it to your flavour preferences, what milks you like to drink and we love a splash of vanilla in ours. To make it more like a thick shake, you could add a frozen banana too (like we did in our video of making Strawberry Milkshakes here.) BUT you have to be careful and watch out! If you go the wrong way, there are fun exercises for everyone to do. Exercises and movement before foods is a great idea from a sensory system engagement point of view – movements can help get us ready to try new things.
What colour is your smurfy berry juice?
- ⅓ cup frozen berries
- ⅓ cup ice
- ⅔ cup milk of choice
- 1 dash of vanilla
- Blend them all together and see what colour you make!
